Days and Days

A new bike often yields renewed interest and an uptick in activity.  This shows last week and this week, and this week only contains Monday so far.  Off to a good, if flat, start!

The current training mode is day after day of steadily increasing base miles, with regular camping thrown in.

Getting Back on Track

For the past couple months, I have been spending a lot more time being social and going to the climbing gym than getting outside.  The balance is now shifting back, and this week I rode 69 miles, including my first cut at Millbway (Garmin stats).  Millbway was fun, mostly scenic, and flat.  Flat is good given the shape my legs and lungs are in at the moment, but it's a bit disheartening to end up back at the start of "Base 1" after all my hard work.  I need to be more careful to not let my endurance lapse.
